A Future's Time

Matt Broker worked as an automobile mechanic. In the year 2164 people with positions such as his needed to have a degree in engineering. "Car's" were very different in the year 2164. Added features such as ion flux capcitators were used to levitate the cars virtually eliminating traffic jams as we knew them. Car's weren't the only thing that had advanced. Peoples minds had evolved to a whole knew level of intelligence making the average public IQ 204 points meaning Matt's education was little to be proud of.

Matt stepped outside of his shop looking into the sky. Something in the sky flashed catching his eye. He focused his eyes on the object plumeting from the bright blue heavens. A bright ball with strips of energy being flung back behind it leaving a trail of fire in the sky. As it came closer Matt could make out the object's general shape. He could see bits of black metal no doubt burned from the objects entry into the atmosphere. It was heading straight for the residential section falling uncontrollbly from the sky. An electric whirring noises could now be heard, followed by a large sonic explosion as the metal sphere broke off revealing a massive metalic object curled up. The object started to unfold revealing to true nature of it's existance. A giant humaniod robot smashed right into the ceter of the residental area crushing Habitation complexes and sending debris flying everywhere. Matt had been thrown to the ground as the mechanical moster made impact and got up quickly to witness the destruction of his and many others home. The robot was now picking up building in one hand and shredding them with the other. Matt looked into the sky and saw more flaming shells no doubt carrying other robots and knew that the time of organic life was coming to an end.
